Babbling Abby, Penguins, and Tom Brady...OH MY!
Ok, so this post doesn't have a whole lot to do with teaching, but man have I had a fun weekend! My husband surprised me with a weekend away...to meet THE Babbling Abby and the fantastic Michelle from Fabulous in First! I know, AHHHHH!!! :) I have had a crazy amount of stuff going on lately and really wanted to go to their Ohio Meet Up, but didn't think I was going to be able to. So, I can't even begin to tell you how excited I was when he said "Pack a bag Lisa!" (of course, I packed four...hehe :) We drove down to Cincinnati on Friday evening (about a four and half hour drive from South Lyon, MI). We met at The Cheesecake Factory the next day and there were close to fifty amazing teachers and bloggers there! It was so awesome to meet the faces behind the blogs I read on a daily basis and everyone was soooo sweet!!! :) I can't wait to see more of the photos that were taken.

It was awesome to meet so many fab bloggers! But, I have to tell you what happened next. I GOT TO PET A PENGUIN! I {puffy heart} penguins, so we headed to the Newport Aquarium for an adventure I won't forget. The black footed penguins were beyond cute :) I wish I could tell you I had pics, but I forgot my camera at the hotel :(
Well, that's it for this evening folks! Enjoy the Superbowl and GO TOM BRADY...I mean Patriots!!! See you tomorrow for some more FAB freebies!!! :)
Soooo lucky!! I would love to meet them!!

I loved getting to talk with you! :) My husband took me to see giant pandas a few years ago, and I literally cried tears of joy! I didn't get to pet one though, so your experience with the penguin was probably way cooler than mine! :) Thanks for coming over to introduce yourself!

ReplyDeleteI would probably have tried to stick the penguin in my purse and taken it home. I'm working on getting a seal to keep in my pool... Glad you had a great weekend, but sorry about the Patriots. =)
